other than driving habits, there is nothing you can do or change to get more mpg. good engine, from the days of cheap gas, but they are thirsty.

Default Some help for you

Hi the two most common things you can do to your truck are:
CAI (Cold Air Intake)
Freer flowing exhaust (a better muffler and exhaust pipe or pipes) plus they sound good too.
After these the mods and gains from other mods for our little 3.7 are both expensive and show very little gains.

also, more ideas:
- swap gears / final drive ratio to a lower numeric set
- run 'fuel max' or other 'ECO' tires
- run narrower tires
- lower truck
- tonneau cover
- remove unnecessary weight (junk in trunk)
- drive slower, drive smoothly, coast into stops, etc. (braking = lost energy = lower FE)
- use A/C (and defrost) as little as possible
- use cruise control as much as possible (except in hilly terrain where it will downshift too much)
- high mileage truck = fresh (front) oxygen sensor(s?); as they age, they read lower = more fuel
