Default Finally turbo goin in!!!

Well after talking @#$% since 08 I'm finally doin it. I'm mounting a comp turbo72/76 .91 AR. on my 5.9. Its been a long time coming but I've got the turbo, waste gate, blow off, air hat along with some other misc parts and tuning from Chris at PIE.
AEM failsafe wideband A/F gauge, 47lb injectors, 2 bar map sensor all found "on the line".
The hot side piping, cold side piping, intercooler, some catch cans, oil feed and return lines all being fabbed up by a local CNC machine shop.

All that's been being collected and put together since beginning of 2013. Along with a new set of 1.6 RR hardened rods, Iron Street Killer Magnum stage 2 heads coming in the next couple weeks also from PIE. In the years before that I've added a Hughes cam and air gap intake and long tube headers (which I will be getting rid of). The machine shop will be port matching the intake heads and manifolds too. So what you guys think of my plan so far? I got most of my info and research done on the Dakota r/t forum there are quite a few turbocharged 5.9's there.

Sounds awesome!

Are you going to be installing all of the mods yourself? or are you having a shop put it together?

That's still kind of up in the air because of the timing on receiving the heads and the piping being finished and ready for port matching. I want to do it all myself only, Ill have to trailer the truck 80 miles home from the shop in pieces. To re assemble it after they tore it down for port matching and after final fitting of piping. Seems like a lot of extra work cause I could just have the shop do it all when finished with the work and go pick it up and drive it to the dyno for some tuning. But im new to forced induction, this is my first project like this and Id really like to be able to know how it goes together and works! No substitute for experience ya know!

Neither can I! ha ha. I'm tryin to talk the machine shop owner into jigging up the manifolds too. There are a couple guys in NM that want to do a turbo also. He's sponsoring me but said if he did do not side kits they'd be in the $1500-$2000 range. So less see how that turns out. should have the truck back by Sat he says.

you should be able to use your current transmission
check online for level 10,they build auto transmissons and they can rebuild your torque converter to handle the extra power and you should be good to go

I'm having a new trans built to handle the power I will be throwing at it. Gonna be a 46re. From the same guy I got the snail and heads from. performance injection equipment. My trans was slipping before I started the build. It only had a Hughes cam, intake, long tubes, cia and SCT tuned by Chris at P.I.E.
