Default Sound system upgrade help

I have a 2012 longhorn Laramie CC and all I want is more bass! Is there a way to a) get more bass out of the factory sub or b) get a amp/ sub combo?

Your best option is to go with an aftermarket sub and amp. You have ALOT of options so do some searching on this forum and others...
Kinda comes down to a couple factors:
How much bass are you looking for?
What are you willing to spend?
What kind of music you enjoy listening to?
One 10" subwoofer and a nice amp will fill your cabin with a nice amount of bass and sound really nice and balanced.
Some guys will go as far as a pair of 12's which will have far more output than a single 10"...
simply depends on what you are wanting

Honestly, I've gone through several different set ups in my CC Limited. From one ten, to two 12s, to two 10s. I've had alpine subs, Cerwin vega, jvc and now I'm on JLs. I am running two 10" JL subs with a 1000 watt amp and I can tell you it is the best set up for this truck. I mainly listen to rock and hip hop so I love bass. Oh and make sure if you're keeping your factory head unit you get a audio control lc2i line out converter. It makes a difference. You get what you pay for. Good luck!

Can you be more specific? Which JL subs? Enclosure type, volume, ported, or sealed?
