to buddy above, why 0w20? can you explain the benefit from 5-0w?
The 0w20 actually gets up into the engine quicker when you first start up with a cold engine. Once up to operating temperature it's exactly the same viscosity. The 5 in front is the weight only when below normal operating temp.

I've never heard this about M1 5W-20 either...Interested to see a source for this.

Anyways, I did the first 25K miles or so on whatever filter and semi-syn oil the dealer was using. Last couple changes I've done on my own and used M1 5W-20 with the M1-210 filter. My next change will be Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra if I can find it. I'm trying it simply because it gets such good reviews over at the BITOG forums. Filter, undecided...may try out the Fram Ultra as it has very impressive specs. In reality, both the oil and Fram Ultra/M1 filter are probably overkill even at an 8K oil change interval. I use the higher quality stuff because it ends up costing just a few cents per thousand miles more than the cheaper oils and filters.

If you're doing 3K-5K oil changes, just about any oil and filter will do fine. Start pushing it closer to 10K and you have to buy a bit higher quality stuff. Over 10K and you need to buy the best, and you should probably do a used oil analysis to see exactly how far you can safely go on the oil/filter combo you choose.

Well, it appears that even though M1 5W-20 meets API standards, it has not passed the tests required by Chrysler Material Standard MS-6395. Here's a good link to a recent discussion. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums...pics/2629126/2

Looks like the switch to Pennzoil Ultra may be a good idea just to avoid any possible headaches with a warranty claim somewhere down the road.

Had my first oil change done today at the dealer, OD was at only 1100 miles which is where I wanted first oil change. went with Dino oil this time and have one more free change from dealer, then plan on switching to synthetic...

Wow that blows my mind because Mobil 1 full syn is some of the best "consumer" available syn oil on the market. I know I have heard awesome stuff about amsoil but too me the average consumer I want to be able to get a case of oil off the shelf of my local parts dealer vs having to order something.
