Default February Incentives & Rebates, Will They Increase or Decrease?

I've been shopping for a new Laramie CC and have just about finalized a deal. I'm currently at invoice minus 100% hold back and waiting for the truck to be delivered (dealer stock order) before we get into final negotiations. The February incentives come out on 2/4 and I'm considering holding back on the final negotiations until I see the new incentives.

So the big question, will the February incentives increase or decrease? I'm thinking they'll increase because Chrysler wants a chunk of the tax return money that will start flowing after January 31st. Anyone have any thoughts?

Don't know if they will go up, but I would be very surprised if they went down. Waiting is a risk, but I would be inclined to take that risk.

Great question! But let me throw a ringer in here that my dad told me years ago. January, first month of the year, they want to start on a roll. Weather has been SHIT in the northeast! NOBODY is on the lots on 15 degree days! The cold temps will last for the next week in the midwest (me), and northeast (you). Lot traffic is way down due to the weather, and end-of-the-month is their other motivation. My feeling is that they are dying to move ANYTHING right now. Next month, folks will start getting their E-filed returns back, and have some money. And they know that. Many are waiting for just that to start shopping. But that dont help the commissions this month! I say, perfect storm for the buyer. Last week of the month, bad weather, no traffic on the lot. The money will be there next month with tax returns, but that does not help with this month. Hit them hard and be brutal! Be ready to walk! Come in with your own bank, or CU financing already approved, and beat them with it. JMHO.

I ordered 12/31, right now my build date is 2/3 ship date 2/4. I've been told it probably won't ship for a few days and then it's 12 day ship to MN. So IF everything goes to plan it should arrive around 2/18 which woul be around 7 weeks. This is all a big if though. personally I'll be happy if it comes by the end of Feb.

What your saying makes a lot sense for going in and buying off the lot. On the flip side you would think with it being tax time and the fact they probably had a bad month in January maybe they will give some better rebates so they can have a great month in February? I hope so anyways

Seven to eight weeks isn't too bad of a wait. I'd rather have it in a few days that's why I'm looking at dealer inventory.

I'm currently waiting on a dealer stock order to be delivered from the rail yard, hopefully it will be delivered this week. I'm currently at invoice minus 100% hold back just for asking so I suspect there may be more room for negotiation once the truck is delivered. I'm counting on the slow January sales for an increase in savings. Current rebates are $1,500 consumer cash, $500 NE Truck, $500 Chrysler Capital and $1,000 USAA. Altogether I'm about $9,300 off MSRP hoping an increase in February incentives and a little more negotiating will get me over the $10k mark. .

I hear ya. I would have bought off the lot if I could find what I wanted but I couldn't. I wanted the sunroof and Pentastar and a few other things in the outdoorsman. The dealer did a 500 miles search and couldn't find one.
