That's just a code the manufacturer uses, I have no idea what it means. But it's the code for "Trailer Tow Group" off your build sheet. I'm assuming that option includes something like hitch, wiring connections, trans cooler, etc. Just guessing. That and the fact it's a HD 1500 or LD 2500 (whatever you want to call it), it probably has a trans cooler, and maybe the big one.

A couple of tips. You probably have the cool tow mirrors. Most people know about them but some people don't. If you grab the lower inside corner of the and tip it up and out, they are in the tow mode and stick out further.

Also, with that trailer brake system, backing up a steep hill will cause the brakes to be on, which can be a problem, but pretty rare. Some systems have a place to insert a pin to disable the brakes for this situation.

No, no super cool ghost trailer mirrors... Yet.
And yes it does have a pin.

I'll be about 7200-7500ish with the trailer so I'll be cutting it close with 8100

I towed that much about that same distance with no problems. I have the 5.7 with 545 six speed. I used tow haul the whole way but my temps were fine. Heres my thread on the experience. I have a 3:55 open diff as well.

Man that's crazy. Moms boat looks IDENTICAL to that one. Hers is the 2855 though. Roughly 500lbs more I think and she bought it with the triple axle. Good to know u had a good experience with an identical boat.

Yup, I did this as a favour for a friend and was thankful I had no issues with it. It towed beautifully but you definitely need tow/haul and it will drink the gas The biggest thing that I remember is that I was always on the gas to keep it all rolling and my rear view mirror was all boat.
