Default 2013 Ram Key Fob Stuck

I searched and found a few posts on this, but none fixed the problem, but i did end up getting the key out...

Drove home, parked, and the key wouldn't come out. Tried starting and shifting from park to drive then back to park and all the other ideas that were posted.

I ended up backing up slowly down the road and then without being fully stopped, I put it in park, so as to kind of rock it. Now when i say "not fully stopped", I don't mean 10 mph, I stepped on the brakes until it was at a snail's pace roll, then put it in park.

I have a 2013 with a pentastar with just under 900 miles, with the rotary shifter knob.

I think it didn't seat well in park and wouldn't release the key so by slowly rolling and going into park it "clicked" enough to release the key.

Just thought I'd post as i see this has happened to others.

I think I would let the service department at the dealer fix that.

I am going to see if it happens again, I drove it this morning and had no issues, hopefully it was just a one time thing, but if it does happen again, it'll definitely be headed back to get looked at.

Exclamation 2013 keyfob stuck

I just picked up my Ram at the end of the year. I was having trouble removing the keyfob multiple times. I finally settled on switching where I grab the fob. I'm not sure if that would help at all in your case, but I thought I would mention it. I now remove the fob by grabbing it on the narrow sides (90 degrees perpendicular from the front face in both directions).

I'll admit that doesn't seem like I should have to do that, so I'll be watching to see what you find out.

Definitely a problem with the park position interlock switch. I would have that taken care of while you have warranty. Probably just an adjustment.

Just happened again....heading to dealer. Worst part is it stays in acc mode, so the battery will drain if I just left it.....
