I think that was true about the 2013's, but not so with the 2014's. Check out the photos of this truck. It clearly shows the 3.6L engine under the hood and then shows the 4WD Auto under the gear selector dial.

If you don't mind me asking, what dealer are you working with? I'm from Nebraska, too.

I'm definitely lost... the options on that shows QUICK ORDER PACKAGE 22Z and it includes 3.6, 8-speed, and Electric Shift On Demand Transfer Case.

I know. It is baffling. I feel for those who ordered trucks and are not going to get the 4WD Auto, like they thought they would.

Both in low-traction situations. Not to be used on dry/bare pavement.

Both have the same F/R lock, but Low adds a 2.6X gear reduction to both driveshafts through the transfer case.

You can shift into 4WD Lock at any time. You should be completely stopped before shifting into 4WD Low.

Situations for 4WD Low... off-roading in mud, crossing through deep water, climbing steep hills, towing someone out the mud or ditch, crawling over rocks, hauling a 15,000 pound trailer around the farm, etc.

As Adanac Ram said, plus while in 4WD LOW, speeds should not exceed 25mph.

Well it is recommended to use 4WD Lock in loose, slippery conditions such as dirt, mud, sand, or gravel. Some owners manuals recommend speed no higher than 45-55mph when switching from 2WD to 4Lock but as a precaution, I would highly recommend reading your owners manual on their prescribed recommendations and precautions as different manufacturers and models procedures vary from truck system to truck system.
