Default Annoying beep when braking

I drive an 02 1500 quad cab 4x4 5.9 ltr gas motor. I know my breaks need to be done however recently a beep has started when I apply the brake pedal and the turn signals to the left and the right. I am also getting a message on the dash that reads lamp out. I have checked the turn signals and the brake lights and all the bulbs light up correctly. Is there some sort of sensor that keeps going off as the brakes have worn to a certain point? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am not sure if i need to run to the parts store right away and crawl under the vehicle in the snow to change.

Well, fix the brakes first. Could it be for the brake light on the dash? Or the third light?

Just to clarify...are you saying that the "beep" is coming from inside of the vehicle (under the dash)?

YES when i apply the brakes the lamp out indicator on the dash panel right above the transmission selector comes on and at the same time there is a loud annoying beep coming from inside the cab. sounds like a seat belt reminder alarm. it does go off after it beeps twice sometimes when the brakes and the turn signal are applied at the same time the beep becomes constant. it will go off when you let off the brake pedal.
