Just got back, and even paying extra special attention to notice it I didn't feel it. Good luck and let us know what happens.

The vibration is normally very prominent, especially under load like driving up a long hill with the engine in the 1900-2000 range. New, my Ram was very smooth until about 700 - 800 miles then the vibration started. It now seems to be getting worse. It's very frustrating that Ram is not yet authorizing repairs!

I actually noticed mine right away. My truck only had 2 miles on it when I took possession. I just thought it was something that would go away as the engine broke in and the transmission got used to my shift patterns. You are right, it is very prominent. You will know if you have it or not. Driving up a hill and keeping the truck in the 2000 RPM range is the NOT so sweet spot.

That's the worst part...2000 rpm is a sweet spot for this engine. I am constantly hovering around the 2K range!

Default Same issue here!

Hi All,

I have the exact same issue here. Happens throughout all of the gears right around 1800-2000 RPM. The steering wheel and gas pedal vibrate very noticeability. I haven't contacted the dealer yet as I wanted to see if anyone else has seen this issue. I hate going to the dealer without documentation and proving this is happening to others.

Has anyone got their issue resolved? I didn't have the issue when it was new. Just recently after 6 months and roughly 5000 miles I noticed it.

Any info would be great appreciated.

I have a 2013 Dodge Ram Sport 1500 Hemi 4x4 with 8 speed transmission.

Thanks,
Lloyd

I had my dealer service guy drive it with me in the truck and he did feel it. They are going to research TSB's and all but I am not optimistic. The Service guy said he has never seen this issue. They did look under the truck and tightened up my skid plates but that did not fix the issue.

Everyone with this issue needs to take it in to your dealer at this point...maybe enough noise about the vibration will get Ram to look into it! What we need is a documented Bulletin about this issue to refer to.

I brought my 2014 SLT w/air suspension home last Tuesday. I also have this problem which led me to search the internet and forums for what is going on. I will take mine in and make sure to complain until they forward it all the way up the chain to Ram. This is very annoying to spend this much on a truck and have such an annoyance that cannot be changed.

I received a recall notice for my 2013 w/8speed , apparently they will be contacting me this month to bring my truck in as they are also waiting on a software fix as well? not sure if its related to your issues

I have a 2013 Ram Tradesman Express 5.7 Hemi V8. I believe I am struggling with the same issue right around 2000 RPM. The truck almost sounds like I have applied a Jake Brake. I either have to drop to a lower gear or really press the gas to pull out of it. I figured it was the MDS-ECO but I haven't noticed it in other Ford or Chevy trucks I've driven with the same type of fuel economy systems.

It may be your MDS, because the exhaust note changes when that comes on. If you apply just a tiny bit more gas does it stop?

Also, Ford has cylinder deactivation?
