Default Tranny Problem Maybe?

Has anyone had a problem or heard of a problem with the 2012 hemi 6 speed jumping out of park into drive when parked and running? Mine ended up in the back end of my brothers 13 Ram, and so for it cost me a grill when it rolled into the track of his sled in the box. I may have left it in drive but it was on flat ground and if you leave it in drive it usually starts to roll as soon as you get out of the truck. Also my brother walked back to me when I was out of the truck and we walked about 75ft. to the lodge and never heard anything. I don't want to start b*tchin for no reason Thank's Tux.

Was your gear selector in drive when you got back?

can't really say if it was in drive or not. I was a little p*ssed that it happened and more p*ssed if I was stupid enough to leave it in drive. The reason I posted was to see if anyone may have had the same problem. If there is a problem it may have already bin posted. I am thinking that the problem may be with me but I posted to see if this has come up before. You get a lot of good info here.

I was expecting a humorous thread with a title like this. Wrong type of tranny I guess.

It is a cable shift. It would have to somehow go past reverse and neutral to get into drive. Not very likely. If the parking pawl was broken that could happen, again not likely though.

ive done it a few times only rolled maybe a foot but with all tech into other shit it would have be a good idea for 1 don't unlock the door unless its in park two put a lever to pull to get into manual shift ive dropped down a gear or more just from bumping the shifter or gf does it

I think this may be operator error.....in order to move out of park, you need to press and hold down the foot brake.
