Only issue directly related to cold that I've had is I've noticed that when driving on the highway aroun -30C or so the check engine light will come on

Just got back from the dealer.
When I started the truck this morning and drove it to the dealer the shifting was fine but I still had a the check engine light on.

The only code showing was p0882 TCM power input low, dtc is stored and good trips present. Test drive no issues present. Checked connections to trans and pcm all ok, unable to duplicate concern at this time.

They did do unrelated updates to the bcm, ddm and radio.

I was told it could be the cold, but what the heck it's always cold in Canada in the winter

Ya that's what I was assuming was causing my check engine light...seems as soon as it gets somewhat milder the engine light resets and isn't a problem. However that was just guess work so thanks for posting!

Lol,
Wish we all could say "wtf....... when it 's too cold"

At least the one bcm update fixed the outside temperature calibration.

I'd have to respectfully disagree.

I have 5 weather apps on my smart phone and they all pretty much match what the backyard thermometer says. But my Ram consistently shows 6-7 degrees lower. I have every update available and none of them corrected the issue.

Back to the original posters question..... This morning it was -21 (windchill) here and she was a little whinny this morning when I started her (My truck that is) . But other then that she runs good in the cold.

Only problem I had was the truck was constantly shifting from 2nd to 4th around 35-40mph. Got tired of that and put it in tow-haul mode for a bit when starting out driving, then turn it off when the tranny got some heat.
