Default 2012 Dodge Ram Leveled, But help needed on wheel/tire combo

Hey little help please I own a 2012 4x4 quad dodge ram 1500 and just leveled it with a 2.5 front readylift only...truck needs tires before the next snow storm and I will be buyingthe bfg a/t ko tires and mounting them on xd rims. My wheel options are 17x9 with a +18mm or -12mm offset and my tire size options are 285/70R17,305/65R17, or 315/70R17. If anyone can shed any light for me with their experiences it would be much appreciated....Thanks again for reading my post and in advance for any advice.

You will probably be ok with the +18 on the 285's. But you are going to need the -12 for the others.

thanks h20man for the quick response ...im reading the article now on the thread that explains everything and Im thinking my best option will be the 315/70R17 which is just shy of a 35x12.5 and will go with the 17x9 with -12 backspacing .....hopefully it wont rub but its a allterrain tire

It's gonna look badass dude. You will not rub with -12. Post up some pics when you are done.

your going to stick out at least 2 inches with the 315's and a -12 backspace. Might look lame with only a 2.5 inch lift. might not either. Trucks that aren't lifted a lot with tires that really stick out don't look right in my opinion. I'll attach a pick of mine just for an idea for you. I'm running a 295 60 20 on a 20 inch wheel with a +1 offset. Keep in mind I'm not up quite as high as you either. I only have bilsteins set at 2.1 in the front.
