Default Catch can for 6.4?

Has anyone installed a catch can on a 14 2500 6.4? Also wanting to put on some Weathertec mud flaps but their site only lists for the 1500 trucks. Anyone know if these also fit the 2500 SLT? What a great forum this is. Learn something new everyday. Thanks.

Default 6.4 catch can

Any vendors? Moes, Bully? Are the 5.7 and 6.4 using the same block and heads?

Maybe it won't be necessary.

This is a quote taking from Chrysler's media site. It is taking from an article that describes the 6.4l

"Efficiency is further reflected in a revised positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system, which is integrated in the intake manifold. The resulting benefit is improved oil efficiency."

Been a while since I've been on here, but I've got a 6.4 Hemi 2500 on order, and I would be interested in a catch can - if it's a viable option given the new design on the HD trucks.

Here is the thread on what a catch can is:

http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=64520

Billet Technology was the first to develop a catch can for the current Generation HEMIs. All of the other companies out there have either tried to or have copied their design. What it does in a nutshell is it collects the oil vapor coming from the PCV valve back into the intake manifold.

When I had my 2011 RAM, I had one with the extension (that they do not sell anymore) and I had to empty it out about every month or so. On my '06 SRT Charger, I'm dumping it about once every 2 weeks. Plus when I first cleaned my TB, I notice about 2-3 inches of oil inside my intake manifold that came from the PCV valve and it gets changed when it's required by the maintenance schedule.

I had one in my Ram, Durango, and my SRT and I am planning on installing one in my new 3500 as well.

Its amazing how much oil it catches in such little time. Well worth the money.
