Default Fold forward rear seat mod

I got bored the other night and trimmed the hooks that hold the backseat to the wall so I can fold the seat forward as well. To get it to un hook I have to lift the bottom seat up a slight bit to its highest point and it releases the back part. I primarily did this for extra storage in the rear of the cab, I plan on mounting a small safe back there for when I transport my pistol as well as an amp when it comes time to do a sound system. Plenty of room for that also might try and mount my fly rod back there as well as I always keep one under my seat, never know when I'll get the itch. Pic to come, it started raining so I quit screwing around with it. But very happy in the extra space from a free mod.

I read on another forum the spacers were thicker than that so.

I've seen this mod before, pretty cool. Any idea where you can buy these spacers?

You can buy washers from a hardware store/Lowes/Home Depot. Stack them 3/4 (about) high at all bolt locations. Just remove one of the bolts that hold down the back seat to get the right size (I don't know the correct size off hand.... sorry)

Been wanting to do this myself for a while. Pics and a quick run down of the procedure?

I did this on my 08. I didn't have to trim the hooks I was able to flip the bracket the hooks secure behind upside down to get the same effect. Lift seat bottom to highest poing and pull seat back forward. Now when I get rid of the Child seats I will actually be able to use it more.

Just finished mine, didn't gain a ton of room but it's nice to be able to get back there if need be. No spacers just chopped the bottom legs off of the hooks. It still locks secure and doesn't move.
