Default Overheating and skipping

I have a 99 dodge ram 5.9 with 249,000 miles it has been overheating so I replaced the water pump the t-stat the heater core and the radiator this fixed the problem for 2 days now it overheates to about 245 for about a minute then it goes back down. Also right before i did all the work it started skipping when I first start it up and will skip for about 2 minutes when I drive it. I did a full tune up about 10,000 miles ago anybody have a clue what this could be? Any feedback is greatly appreciated

fan clutch engaging? bleed all the air from the cooling system? plug wires routed correctly? thermostat opening and closing properly (could be lazy)? id start with some of those and see what u get.

The temp thing sounds like air still in the system. I have heard many ways to bleed it, but none I can say I've tried. Some have said to park the truck at an incline, with cap off. Start, and fill as needed til the fluid starts to come out, then cap. Make sure the overflow container has fluid in it. The cap will allow excess pressure out. The key is to have a good radiator cap. Use a pressure tester on it. A bad cap will screw this all up. After shut-down, the system should vacuum fluid from the overflow as it cools.
