Default 2011-2014 With 5.7 Foot RamBox

I have a 5.7 bed and it has nothing special on it I not ram box or anything like that I was wondering how the ram box works from some of the pictures looks like its built into the fender? Is that what I am seeing?
This link here is what I would like in the bed

Its basically a storage box on top of the fender wells. I've got a 5.7 with RamBoxes.

Yes it's built into the fender and is AWESOME! I have it on my 2009 and have used it a TON! Ordered it with the 6'4" bed I'm getting on my Longhorn.

yup, the ramboxes basically take the space from, when you look in the bed of the truck, if you drew an imaginary box straight up from the inside of the wheel well and went to the top of the bed.

the storage space isn't quite what you would get if it was a 'generic' box you built - there is some inside liner stuff, etc. but they ARE lockable, and many that have them really love them

one thing to watch for, if you're going to put a 5th wheel in your truck (if you have a 2500/3500 - I don't think anyone puts a 5th wheel hitch in a 1500, what would you pull) - there are very few 5th wheel hitches that work with the rambox. It's mainly because the hitch of the trailer will smoosh against the rambox, where without the rambox it clears that space above the wheelwell.

if you aren't pulling a 5th wheel though - I think they're awesome

The RamBoxes are what made me really want to look at buying a Ram in the first place. I was about to go back to a Tundra, but I loved the RamBox idea and a few other features on the truck.

Now that I've got'em, I really only use them for hunting & fishing equipment. My wife just bought the gun racks for me, for our anniversary (Sunday). Hopefully they arrive this week. That's going to be awesome!

Also, I swapped out the bulbs in my RamBoxes for LEDs. They really light up the entire box now!

I see the outline do you have to move the fender or something ? I seen the hunting box its a like a kit not the actually box.... All i have is a regular truck bed..

Thanks everyone for the feed back.

I think you're confused on the ramboxes. I'm not sure if you are just asking about how they are, or if you are inquiring because you're interested in getting them. The RamBoxes are not an option that you can add onto your truck. They have to be built that way from the factory. If you want the RamBoxes, you would have to replace your entire truck bed. The gun racks are just an accessory that pops into the slots inside the RamBoxes. They also have dividers that can be used for tools and storing other items.

Could you provide a part number and where you got the LEDs? Sounds like a worthwhile update to my ramboxes.

The bulb type is 194. These are close to what I ordered, but there are a lot of options if you just look for 194 type bulbs.
