Default Got the call!

Well, the dealer gave me a call today and told me that we have an ETA of second week of February for delivery (ordered in December).

The unfortunate part is that I got in a fender bender this week and my car is in the shop. Good thing family is there to lend a car Anyway, the dealership calls me today and says they've found 3 very similar trucks the next city over and have driven it down for me to have a gander, and I can have it as early as tomorrow. The trucks are built to what my order was with a couple extra options (i.e. Sunroof, protection group, front/rear park assist etc)

I ordered a '14 Sport CC in Flame Red, but the 3 are Brilliant Black, Mineral Grey, and Blue Streak (I think that's the name). What's your guys' opinion on getting a truck two weeks sooner, but off the lot instead of my factory order. TBH, the thing that's swaying me is not being able to have my Flame Red! Thoughts?

If you were to get a truck that has more options than you ordered (minus the exterior color) for the same amount of money, I'd do it. Otherwise, I'd say no.

You know I was thinking that, but my truck order is pretty much everything I wanted. It's got the bucket seats, leather, NAV, backup cam, upgraded sound system, remote start/keyless entry.

I doubt I'd change the colour of my truck, just for a sunroof, and extra park assist sensors. But if some of those 3 off-the-lot trucks had the air-suspension, then I'd probably go for it. I'll just have to take a look at them this weekend. One of my main concerns was any possible exterior damage from having it on the lot this past winter.

I wouldn't suspect they would have any exterior damage over the past few months of winter just sitting outside collecting snow. That being said, if you do have a look at one of em, then have a good look over it.

Otherwise the decision is yours to make....you ordered what you ordered for a reason. If you really want the extra options then go for it. However, you are the one that has to look at the truck every day and appreciate it for however long you own the truck. If you like one of the other truck's appearance and it has the options you wanted and then some then go for it, but every time you drive it around and see a red one on the streets and wish yours was the same.....maybe waiting 2 weeks isn't that bad.

My dealer found a cranberry color truck for me that was loaded. They were going to pay the difference. I truly wanted black so I waited an extra 11 days. I lost out on the free options but I am happy I waited for my color. Every time i see a cranberry ram go by I remember how I almost made a $50 000 mistake because 11 days seemed like forever.

I know it's 2 weeks but like others have said, you ordered it for a reason. Color is a big thing in my opinion, because you have to look at. I would wait, you will be alot happier in the end.

Depends on how important the red is to you. What do you value more the color or some added options?
