i have water coming out of the exact same spot. but i don't have a sunroof so idk where mine is coming from

Check your 3rd brake light. That's usually where it comes in.
I took mine out, ready to replace the foam gasket with a rubber one I bought... But after fluffing the foam on mine (it was very compressed) and been through some heavy rain... No water in the housing. So I think I'm good for the time being.
