I think it is more of just a freak accident. Like hit it at the perfectly "worst" angle and spot, with just enough speed going into the curb to cause this. Also could have been a good size curb. Sound more like "pounded a curb" then Tapped a curb. These trucks hold up good, just every once while, like all vehicles, freak accidents happen where the stars line up and everything goes wrong.

Hi Canadian Hemi Pride,

I so agree with you. My truck doesn't feel like it could care less about hitting a curb in anyway. It is planted and solid and like I said the engineers surely thought about someone taking these 4X4 trucks off road and have accounted for side loading in their designs.

Hi Canandian Hemi Pride,

Bring your extraction strap. You might need to pull your bud chevy out. ;-)

I got 2 recovery straps.. one 30'x2.5" wide that I bought just for emergencies. Then I have my 20'x4"wide rated for 40,000 pounds. Then I have a 6.5ton rated tow d ring shackle on my hitch.

Always gotta be prepared to pull chevs and fords out.
