Default Laser Jammer Install

I am trying to install some Laser Interceptor laser jammers on my 2014 Longhorn Hemi 8 speed and cannot find a place in the firewall that I can put the cables through. Does anyone have any advise as to where I can feed them through? Also, what connection in the fuse box should I use?

Drill a hole in the black plastic cover to the left of the vacuum booster. It's where we run all our cables through on these trucks. There's a rubber nipple on the steering column that you can clip off and run wires through as well, but it's a bit more of a PITA to get at.

Are you talking about the black horizontal piece that is tapered on both ends that is to the right of the booster if looking at the front of the truck? I just want to make sure I understand what you are talking about. I suppose that I would just seal the hole with rtv after feeding the wires?

I take it that the only fuse box is under the hood and there is no fuse box in the cab like the old cars used to have?

its a bit tricky, remove the tape first, and I used a coathanger with the wires taped to it to get them through.

Yes, that's the plate I'm talking about, I thought it was to the left of the brake booster, but I looked at some of my build pics and it's on the right.

And yes, there is only one fuse box, the fuse box is above the TIPM, all electrical runs through it so you have to either tap off the fuse box or trigger from a relay on an ignition-on circuit in the cab if you don't want to run additional wires.

That's the nipple I was talking about, and it is a PITA to do but does seal around wires on its own.

Do you have the specs or a link to the relay that I should use? Can I install the jammers and an additional radar detector off the same relay?

Depends on what amperage draw your laser jammers are, but you should be able to install everything off of one relay. A standard 30A Bosch DPDT relay would work just fine for you and run your trigger off of an ignition-on circuit so you'll have power only when you turn on the vehicle so you can't accidentally leave them on and kill your battery.
