Default Replace engine with Jasper, S&J, or Powertrain Products?

I should do this as a poll, but I like the back and forth discussion. And I'm not really sure myself, but I am leaning toward Powertrain Products, although S&J is a close second. Jasper is good, and has a reputation but I'm not sure about the price.

Oh, anyway, the question: I did research on their websites, and looked at the comments on this forum (and that other one that I don't really use anymore) and am trying to decide who would be the best option to replace the engine in my 2002 RAM 4.7 1500 SLT (2WD).

I like the 7 year warranty offered by S&J but it seems like they may have a dollar cap. I like the fact that Powertrain has tried to correct many of the issues that the 4.7 originally had (ie: extra oil circulation, MLS gaskets, etc. etc.). I don't know much about Jasper other than they are well-known in the industry.

Do any of you have any experience with any of these? Or if not, who would you pick just based on what you know about them? Any red flags, etc.? You can read their sales pitches and their warranties on their websites, but who knows what's real and what's just marketing? powertrainproducts.net or sandjengines.com or jasperengines.com

I'm in a similar situation and am going with Powertrainproducts. I picked them because the core is suspended from the cost if you return it within 30 days (they pay for shipping). If you don't get it back to them in time they charge you a core price. My engine is already out of the truck so that's easy enough for me.
I may regret my choice in 4 years when the engine dies and the warranty is expired. That's life though.

My mechanic always used Jasper but after he saw how nice my S and J long block was he said he may give them some of his business. The S and J arrived very nicely packed and protected and the install went good with no problems. I think they also address the known 4.7 problems and update components as required. The motor fired instantly and I have had zero problems so far. I think I've put about 5000 miles on it. My old motor always ticked on start up but this one is quiet. I decided to go with a long block because I didn't want nice new heads on an old block. It had 85,000 miles when the wife let it overheat and I blew both head gaskets. So, I am a vote for S and J.

What's the price tag on these? I've seen rebuilds on the net anywhere from $1600-$2700 for a stock replacement. Most state oiling upgrades are performed.

I paid $2500 for the S and J around a year ago. Then sent the old motor back as a core exchange.
