Default How many tows?

After this snow storm how many people have you towed?

Started my day yesterday after about a foot of snow, didnt even make it to the first stop light and this guy in a Jetta was stuck trying to get out of his apartment complex and got stuck. Pulled him out and went on my way.

Later that day this newer Toyota Tundra flies past me on the parkway, he didnt make it two miles til he was all the way into the ditch. Took me a while but my little v6 pulled him out much to his disgrace lol My fiance made the comment that only real trucks should be on the road right now anyways

Then this morning I left my friends house to go to work after spending the night, I didnt even make it 50 yards and at the top of the hill there was a Jeep stuck blocking the road. Pulled them out pretty easily and I was on my way.

Seems like my little v6 2wd is fairing pretty well lol

I only towed 2 trucks so far, 1 gmc rwd. Then our work F350 4x4 which got stuck plowing
My one bud got stuck in a ditch but my bud in his bronco got there 10 seconds before me and got it pulled out sadly.
Have pushed like 20 cars/trucks/suvs stuck on the roads though.

Quick question, where you pulling the vehicles from that don't have a hitch or solid tow point like tow hooks.

Well sadly alot of cars just have a bunch of plastic pieces near the bumpers so i go for the control arm or pretty much anything solid metal that I can get to from the wheel well. Some cars actually have places for the hooks to go into for tow trucks but I rarely come across the easy ones lol.

Edit: If you hook them from the opposite wheel that your truck is on it is a lot easier to straighten them out, especially when they are in a ditch

I didn't tow anyone out with all the snow we've been having.

However, I did see a guy on the roads this morning that looked like he slid about 100 feet before becoming lodged in a relatively large snow bank. I hesitated, and then thought...nah. With 100 feet of skid marks on the road (slide marks actually) I figured the world was better off with him stuck.
