Default 1995 Ram No Gauges

My 95 2500, V10 AT has no guages. Everything else works fine, it's been non-op for a while while I have been recuperating from sugery, now I'm back, ready to get it going but am stumped. Is there a special fuse for the dash guages other than the fuse blocks under the dash and under the hood? Please clue me in. Thanks, Dick T.

Hello Dick. I'm going to ask that this be moved to second gen (95 and up) Electrical.

However, if it's been sitting for any length of time I'd try to wiggle the instrument cluster plug for corrosion. If there's moisture in the truck (wet boots/floorboards/leaking third brake light, etc...) the plug can get corroded and cause the gauges to flicker and/or fail.

The other issue with these trucks is that the soldered contacts at the plug/cluster weren't the greatest and over time they have a tendency to develop hair-line cracks. Couple that with a small amount of corrosion and it stops working.

I'd personally wiggle the plug a little and see what happens before you beat yourself up looking for another issue.

We're in the same boat, SV. I just pulled the instrument cluster, to find nothing untoward other than the PRNDL cable broken in the act of pulling the cluster. Another brick. Pls let me know if you figure it out, I can't even find the engine temp sensor on this diesel, not the ground strap to the firewall, neither of which has been recently (or ever) tampered with.
Good luck~
