Default Denver Dealership Service Recommendations

Morning everyone. I'm relatively new to the forum (and to Ram ownership) but thought I'd post the question in the hopes of tracking down some good advice. I recently purchased a 2008 1500 (5.7 Hemi) from a family member and it is due for it's 60,000 mile service. Since it is the first time I'll have the vehicle serviced I was planning on taking it to a Dodge dealer in the Denver area for the work. Any recommendations on a good service department any of you have worked with in the past? Any warnings or bad experiences I should know about. I called a few of the shops and they're all quoting about $1250 for the work. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
J

If you purchased the truck without a warranty or service contract, go get it serviced at a private garage you trust. Dealerships are "stealerships".

I had to have my old Durango repaired in Denver a couple of years ago. I took it to Cherry Creek Dodge in Aurora. They did a good job, didn't try to add stuff to the bill, and got it back to me on time. My folks bought a couple of cars from them back when I was a kid, so they are well established and have been around a while.

First you need to review what is in the 60k service and see what you can do yourself. Then have the dealer do what you cant or wont. Or for $900 i'll do it for you,lol

I agree that if you go to a dealership it's going to cost big bucks. I also agree that some of the items you could probably do yourself. I know this might be a little bit of a drive but when I lived in Ft Collins I used a shop up there called Colo.4 Wheel Drive. I've known the owner for over 30 years and I NEVER seen a better mechanic. He is honest and will not try to gouge you. I still take my truck to him for any repairs I don't trust the dealership to do--and it's a 1000 mile drive for me. That's just how good he is!!!
