I am not sure what parts got swapped. I never noticed any problems so I think, when it got, it goes! It all works fine I just wish the installer took a little more pride in his workmanship.
If they did that snotty looking gasket sealer work on my truck we'd have a problem and they'd be doing it over.

I picked my truck up last night. All is good I think. But the bottom of the axle housing is wet and the gas tank next to the yoke is wet. I'm thinking he just didn't clean up because he was rushing to get it done for my by 6 last night, as it's not dripping on the ground. I'll crawl under this weekend clean it up and see if it stays dry. He did a little better job than the pic above, although not perfect. Scratched the hell out of my diff cover so I need to paint it but I needed to paint the whole axle anyway as it's starting to show signs of surface rust.

I got home and looked at the invoice and the bearings were $40/ea for parts, so $80 total. So they only charged me $10 for labor, so I'm thinking I got a good deal lol.

Might be in my head but the truck seems "smoother".

There is no statute of limitations on recalls, and its unrelated to warranty.
I still have never received a recall on my 09 pinion.

Just take it in and let them check it.

Default Too Late

My drive shaft dropped yesterday. It tore shaft in two and knocked a hole in the transmission housing. I called Dodge today, they gave me a claim number.
What ticks me off is I've had my Ram in the dealer several time over the last 2 years and I've received several emails from Dodge, reminding me it was time for service (oil/filter change), BUT NO EMAIL ON THE RECALL!?!
This might get interesting.
