Default Steering pops

Admin, not really sure where to put this.

I've been getting a popping out of my steering, usually at full left while turning, bu it'll do it going back right again also. Just replaced tie rods and hubs. I can't feel the pop in the steering wheel.

is it while you are moving? Do you have a solid front axle or IFS? a lot of times a bad cv joint will make a popping/clicking noise while turning. Do you have any torn boots?

Bumping this.

I have the exact same issue going on. When steering wheel is turned full left and rolling slowly will get a LOUD POP of metal on metal. Truck has new tie rods, control arms, struts, and ball joints on it last summer.

Its been too cold to try and get a video or get my wife out there to do it while I look under the truck...and she'll probably just run me over anyways!!!

I'm going to try and get it on a lift and see if I can recreate in the shop. Its driving me nuts though and I cant see any visual areas of metal on metal wear.

The POP is loud enough that people on the street and in parking lots have turned and looked at me when it happens......its LOUD.

Like I said mine was just a bolt that wasn't properly torqued. And it needed to be TIGHT

Bolt is under the driver side about in line with the steering wheel. Bolt pushes through the front and has a nut on the back. It's the bar that keeps the front axle centered under the truck.

I have the same problem after I lifted my truck. I'll have to check the bolts under there! Thanks
