Default need help with 5.9 swap about converter

Hi, I'm in the process of the 5.9 swap. I'm about to install the 5.9 and just read that I'll also need the torque converter for a 5.9 I thought it was just the flexplate needed.. But I also read that I can use the 5.2 conveyer if I just remove the weight from it?

Gen1dak will become famous soon enough

Depends on the model year. On a 1998, the weight is on the flexplate (started that in '96). So the 5.2 and 5.9 converters are all neutral balance. Besides, the 5.2 never has had external weight (converter or flexplate). They were all internally balanced from day one. Just the 5.9 is externally balanced.
