Default ABS Right Front Speed Sensor

Greetings!

Recently. My ABS, Traction Control, ESP, and 4WD Service lights all came on. I figured it was an ABS Speed sensor, and the local mechanic was kind enough to pull the code for me, indicating it was the right front speed sensor.

My question is: Do I have to purchase an entire wheel hub assembly? I was told the sensor is tuned specifically for the hub assembly. Is this true? Or can I purchase a sensor?

I crawled under and looked, the sensor is attached much the same way the rear differential sensor is.

Any knowledge in this would be much appreciated, thank you!

First of all, welcome to the RamForumZ, David. We're glad you joined. I'd like to invite you to introduce yourself in the Newbie Check In section so all of our members can give you a proper howdoyado.

As far as I know, there is no "tuning" involved with the wheel sensors, but, I am not familiar with the 4th Gen ABS system. Hopefully a 4th Gen owner familiar with the ABS will jump on and offer another answer.

No tuning, just buy the wheel hub remove the old bolts put on the new one, of course disconnect the sensors and re-attach. The (correct )new one will come with the sensor, but make sure it does.
