I enjoy working out. I've been in the same gym for 11 years. I currently hit it about 5 days a week. But I'm in a recovery period right now as I injured my elbow and wrist last month. I must say NOT going to the gym for a month has been really tough. But I'm almost back to 100% health so I'm looking forward to going back this week or next.
I like to go early in the morning. Get it done before I change my mind. lol

It sucks getting out of bed, but by the time I get a few sets into it, it's not bad.

Lol he will need the walker Wednesday, not today.

I was going to say, Canadian Hemi Pride, even with a 475lb squat you'd be top heavy benching 3000 lbs.

Like most military personnel, working out is not just something I enjoy, but something that is required of me. Endurance is the most practical thing to train for, but you need strength as well. Lifting wise, I have always preferred legs-if you don't squat, you ain't squat!

I haven't been running like I should since I injured my ankle at OCS and kept training on it. That led to a cartilage injury in my knee that took months to heal.I need to get back to doing 8 mile runs like I used to.

Back in the day I made it to California Regionals three years in a row in the 220lb class. Never could get passed it and make it to state. I just turned 50 in December and I can still bench 335, squat 490, and pull 530 off the floor. I try to do quite a bit of cardio as well.

Yeah that is true. I am scared to wake up tomorrow morning to get out of bed after my leg workout today, they are done.

Military training is damn instense, it would be interesting to try out. Our University workout program was based around the Florida Gator workout program. A solid combo of strength and endurance building.

That is damn impressive. I still believe there is a hidden strength that is unlocked when the body matures. I have to get back to my old stats.

For any age, those are great numbers.

I agree, back before I had to be so concerned with muscular endurance when I played football and lifted heavy I could only squat 415, bench 260, deadlift 465, and power clean 240. I was 17.

I suppose frame size has a lot to do with it though, at 5'9" I was 210 lbs and had trouble eating enough to keep my body weight up that high.
