The only shells with 94 are a 20min drive out of town from home, the Petro is literally next door. If I'm on the road I'll also swing into an ESSO since they have similar strict requirements on their fuel. I won't buy Husky or put any of the other fuel into my truck unless it's a dire emergency, mainly because I've almost been killed twice on Husky work sites and the other chains are lower quality stock.

I use the ones I've stated because they have refineries in the province and take the top grade fuel for their chain distributors and the lower quality stuff that passes the grading is shipped to different storage tanks and sold off. I know this because I've worked at all 3 refineries.
I wish there was more shell and petros in my city. I use petro when I get to it. Esso most often for my 91. Pioneer only when I need to. As I have switched to 91 yesterday, I will switching between esso and petro. Any idea what fuel costco used?
Husky is known around here to mess up engines. Not recommended by any mechanic.

I was a Shell die hard (earned me a plane ticket in gas alone) up until a few months into owning my Ram... started looking for options, and then..... COSTCO in Toronto its on Avg 5-7 cents cheaper than any other gas station, sometimes even cheaper, and premium like Macc08 said its pretty much the same as 87 on the street!

Best deal! Not sure about in NS though, if the prices are regulated then personally I would go with airmiles and a high volume station.

I buy it wherever when I'm empty lol

I normally stop at murphyusa down the road, they are an american company I believe so I try to go there when I can. I try to avoid 7-11/citgo.

I don't know about other areas but all fuel in this area comes from the same place, central florida pipeline. Each company just adds their different additives.

I have been going to Petro for many many years because I trust the gas (never had a problem) plus their touch-less carwash is great too

I was doing some research on this very subject the other day and found this samet thing. Gave a read through on what "top tier" meant and I was happy.

If they can class costco gas with shell and petro canada, its obviously fine. Regulations and standards are just that. All these fuels must pass the same stringent tests, and they all pass. Therefore I will CONTINUE to buy my gas at costco. I have never heard of someone having a bad experience with gas there. As I have mentionned before, I'm not too worried about any dirt/crap or moisture getting into the gas because of the volume they sell. They changed their filters regularly. More then most other places, again, due to the volume they sell.

That is all.

COSTCO FTW

Perfect, Costco is on there! Eases my conscious, not that I had much doubt before.
