Default service 4wd light

service 4wd light comes on randomly and the dealer ship cant figure out why? they have replaced all sensor and rebuilt the front diff. They are now saying that the hid headlights are causeing the 4wd light to come on. how could that be possible?

Electrical can be tricky. Could be any number of things. I would revert the lights to stock if you can and see if that cures it. If so, drive like that for a week or so to be sure.

I have had this prob with mine since day one pretty much. Once in a while it will come on and will go away if I shut the truck off and restart. 4wd will not engage with this light on. I know its prob electrical sensor or something stupid that they wont be able to pin point so never bothered to take it in. If you find out what it is .....let us know.

The dealership said that my hids where the cause of the light coming on. They told me to remove them and see what's happens. Hids are still in the truck and I haven't had it come on sense getting it from the dealership.
