Default Outdoorsman ride vs. other trims

I'm looking at getting a non-air suspsension 2014, I'd prefer the more comfortable ride however the Outdoorsman seems to have everything I want and at the best price, but it's got the extra HD shocks and added ride height.

I'm wondering just how much of a difference their would be between the Outdoorsman ride and the other models.

Also does anyone know if it's possible to get a factory order delete on the extra HD shocks at time of order?

The other choice is that I equip an SLT with all the Outdoorsman stuff ...but it comes out two almost $2k more than the Outdoorsman here in Canada.

I test drove an SLT but ordered an outdoorsman. It rides really nice but I can certainly tell the difference of the HD suspension. It is stiffer. Not sure if it can be deleted, I would say ask your dealer if it's possible.

I have a Outdoorsman and I think the ride is fantastic and smooth for a short bed truck. I think the ride height is 3/4" more and the heavy duty shocks seam just right. JMO.

I agree I think it rides great. I am just saying I can tell the difference between the slt I test drove, and the HD shocks on my outdoorsman

I had a Big Horn 2008, an Outdoorsman 2011, and just picked up an Outdoorsman 2014, and this one is the quietest and smoothest ride out of them so far. Granted, it only has 120 miles on it, but I love the Outdoorsman and the options available for them.
