Hey Yankee - I HATE the MDS so yes, I drive with around town with the autostick on 6.... that is cancelling out the MDS, right (don't see the eco letters coming on)? Should I bump it down to a lower gear when I'm cruising in town?
Yeah it is a sweet cummins. Just did about a 6 hour drive in it. My truck just wont be the same now.

Default Not really pleased with Flowmaster super 10

i was told removing them helps the sound...but i didnt want it 100% raspy either...i think the CBE with resonators in place is a good combo... i had a 2 chamber cherry bomb (Pro) and it was deep...but not very loud at all.

Yeah I hear you on the performance thing - I'm pretty sure I lost a little mid-range power (but gained a little mpg) from putting the super 10 on an deleting the reso's... I would have dumped it instead, but I'm stuck with the bumper cutouts so I thought, "what the hell" and ran them thru the stock piping and tips... I hope it gets a little deeper and louder (that's what she said) as time goes on - I have 5K on the odometer right now and I'm not really hearing a difference.... We'll see

good one. and at that point id say its about time to give up on that hope...mine and my 2 buddies that got some flowmasters noticed the break in after having it on for about 3 weeks, so maybe 1000 miles if that?? did you put on the 3 inch in and 2-2.5 out?

Yeah, looks like I'm going on a little over 2 months with this setup and I haven't noticed a change (as for deepness and loudness). I'm really hoping that I'll eventually get used to it, but I doubt I will. I think that part of my dissapointment might be mental too - because I know it's loud and probably sounds good - It's just not the "right" loud... if that makes any sense... And yes, it's the 3" in, 2.5 out...

Not sure but maybe the 2.5" might not be helping. I have 40 series, no res, and all 3" in a single pipe and love it. Plus There is nothing sweeter then the signature "flowmaster" tone on a v8

Nice man, I plan to go with the exact same setup. Had it on my Charger R/T and LOVED it.

I would single pipe it or dump it if I didn't have these damn cutouts - I might put some 3" piping in there, but I don't want to lose too much backpresure, either. I also thought about getting 12" long / 5" inch wide tips to see if that can deepen the sound a bit... The exhaust shop I went to initially said that it wouldn't affect the sound, but I AM really curiuos to find out... the tips I have on there right now are bone stock
