Default Air filter Sealing

My air filter seems to not want to stay seated in the channel. I've checked the wing nut screws for tightness and overnight but it still seems to want to pop out of the channel in the base. Any thoughts?

Okay… you can laugh at this if you want but it worked for me. You are familiar with material expansion due to heat yes? When my filter would not drop in place the way it had before-- I placed it in a bag and put it in the freezer overnight- next morning I placed it in the channel replaced the top and added the wing nuts click, click, click. I'm guessing the rubber contracted 2-3% and that was all I needed to make it drop right in.

The purpose of the bag….. to prevent my wife from slapping me stupid when she went to look in her freezer HA!

I did the exact same thing lol. Works like a charm, haven't had any issue since.
