Default My Stereo Set-up (JL Audio 12w6v2)

Slowly modifying my truck. I had to get my stereo in there so I worked on it and it came out OK. I didnt want to mess with the U-Connect so I bought the LC1 to tap into the rear speaker to get my RCA Connection and remote wire. Have a JL Audio 12w6 in a Fox Accoustics box. There is no better bass that that JL 12 in that box, clean and hard. Love that box. JL Audio 500/1 pushing just the 12. Bass is amazing but the door speaker just are not loud enough for me so those are going next.

That looks awesome. Kinda wishing I could here it. Nice job, Travis. Thanks for the show and tell. Let us know when you do the door speakers.

I am looking to install my subs this week. I also have a LC2i. Would you be able to give me some detailed instructions on how you wired up the LOC? I have installed plenty of amps before, but never had to use a LOC. Where do you get the +12v, remote, and speaker inputs? Thanks.

I did an LC2i, the 12v and ground i did direct to the battery. You don't need to get a remote wire like an amp if you're using the GTO feature on the LC2i. They are set from the factory with the GTO in the "on" position. So the only wiring for the LC2i is the 12v, ground, and then tapping the speakers. If you're using it to add a sub, you just need the left channel speaker wire. I tapped the left rear speaker for the signal in the B pillar.

Thanks for the response. Does the 12v need to be fused? Tapping into both rear speakers wouldn't get any better of a signal?

i ran one big guage wire from the battery to the back to a fuse block...that fuse block had 2 outputs. I used one for the Lc2i and the other to the amp....I ground both the same spot on the back seat bolt...

I use a distribution block for mine, but the main line from the battery is fused.

I like the idea of the distribution block. Where do you tap into for the amp's remote turn on?

If you're using an Audiocontrol product, I think most of them have a remote turn on function. So if you wire the LC2i, with just the positive and ground, the remote line is taken from it and goes to your amps. Really simple. There's posts in the forums about doing this and pics.
