I wish we had known here as well. Nearest location is six hours away. There is a linex location here. Is that worth considering. They seem to do undercoating. If not are there any other options? And yes there is a lot of salt in the winter on the road, which is why I religiously washed my truck once a week.

Question

Anyone think after wiping away rust that spraying the area with black Plastidip spray would work?

Although 6 hours may be an inconvenience, IMO, if it were me knowing what I know about Krown rust proofing, I would make the drive, these guys are all given the same training, they get get into every nook and cranny, I'm talking into the A-pillars, inside the rockers, they even spray the inside of the tailgate. Totally worth it. Just saying.

So the known rustproofing would work even with rusting already?

They salt like crazy here in NY too. First thing i did to my '13 was take it to Ziebart and have the truck undercoated, rustproofed and rhino lined. Im not sure if there is a location near you but their system is pretty solid. Everything comes with lifetime warranty and a free yearly touch up. So far after this long winter everything still looks like new.
