Default Front brakes grabbing when easing into stop

So when I'm driving and I ease my brakes into a stop and I start easing into them more to stop fully the front brake grab all of the sudden and lock up and I skid it happened a few times yesterday and it's been pouring I slid out into a intersection almost. I don't know whats wrong I did just recently put a emergency brake line tensioner on to fix my emergency brake line. The guy I bought the truck from put all new rotors on brakes ect. I did replace a blown brake line during the summer on my front right side that blew. I don't know what it could be I need help.

I would be checking for another blown brake line, with one blown he should have replaced them all IMHO. Grabbing as you have described is usually caused by contaminated brake pads. Could also be seized pins but if you recently had new pads and rotors installed he should have lubricated up all the slider pins.

Ok thanks I'll check my pads tomorrow after work. Also when my brake line blew we checked all the other ones and they were good only reason I knew it was blown was because the ABS light came on.

Could it be because your rear brakes are out of adjustment? And you are are only using the fronts to stop? Rears adjust from regular use of the parking brake (yeah, I know thats crazy), and firm stops in reverse.

Sorry I haven't posted but that was the problem I have been busy working but my rear brakes need to be adjusted that's funny because my emergency brake was broken the cable was stretched beyond so we put a new tensioner on and soon as I got the emergency brake fixed a week or so later this happened.

It is actually a big deal to adjust the rear brakes and parking cable together. You need the rear off the ground, and wheels off. It's all in the manual. You have the manual....right?
