Late last year my DYNAUDIO md102's started crackling something fierce. We had a hard time diagnosing the problem, but found out that it was the Arc Audio 2075SE amp.
My friend (being a dealer) sent the amp back to Arc Audio where they replaced the amp with a brand new one. Arc has great customer service by the way
Then my friend called me with a trade opportunity...so I traded my 2075SE for another Arc KS300.4.
The plan is to run my md102's off two of the channels and keep the remaining two channels on reserve for when I go to an active 3-way front stage which means I will incorperating a dedicated pair of midrange speakers. I have a few different ideas on that, but have not made any decisions as of yet. Nor do I know where I will be mounting these midranges...my first thought is in the kick panels on-axis but time will tell.
So now Iam back with 90 watts to each md102 tweeter.

The buzzing that you've been trying to track down, is it coming from the doors/door paneling? Or do you think the sub bass region is the culprit? What frequency are the blacks crossed over @?

Most of the buzzing comes from my son's car seat....I'll dampen that later
The doors are buzz free after 3 layers of butyl, and the rear area is fairly quiet except some frequencies are creating a slight buzz in the rear.
Kinda seems like 40-60hz is where the buzz occurs.
Hopefully tonight after the championship game, I'll have some time to listen and track down the buzzing...but I have to play the stereo loud in order to create the buzz...hope my neighbors don't mind
I cross the blacks over at 80hz....but occasionally will cross them at 63hz which sounds a little cleaner, but takes some of the fun factor away.
The Blacks do an amazing job at keeping the bass guitar at bay....present, but at bay in the 70-80hz range. Alot of subs do not do this very well and the bass guitar becomes thundering and over powers the midbass in the doors...I hate that.
Mumford & Sons has a constant upright bass in most of their songs and an 80hz sub crossover point can be a bit thundering. Dropping the crossover point to 63hz takes care of that problem completely

When it comes to pre-made sub boxes, the fox box gets the job done but it greatly depends on that subwoofers you are using and which box you go with...vented or sealed.
For 12" subs...most will not have enough airspace for the vented application....they will work and be loud, but that's not what Iam after.
Ultimately, Iam looking for a 28-32hz tune out of my sub bass...after modeling my Blacks to the box, we believe the tune is right around 45-50hz which is far from optimal.
HOWEVER...if you really like the hip hop, dub step etc..45-50hz is damn near perfect for you cause it's LOUD!!!!
Heavy metal, rock, country, jazz, blues needs a much lower tune to sound good. Blocking the vents helps (creating a sealed box essentially) which lowers the tune slightly, but output is cut dramatically which is fine for me...but many people want loud bass, so I do not recommend sealed if you are after high output!
No my friend does not sell Fox sub boxes...his are all one-offs.
feel free to come by for a listen anytime in Omaha...once the weather warms a bit, we'll have a few car stereo meet ups...you should join!
