The Marine Corps Museum out side of Quantico is awesome. Traffic will suck and it is expensive even on base but it is a beautiful area.

I will be living in the BOQ for the 6 months I am there so hopefully traffic isn't too much of an issue, at least on a daily basis.

Maust1, I have been to the museum 3 times now and still have yet to see the whole thing. Its probably my favorite museum ever, but I'm also probably biased.

I feel the same way I wish I could go back to see it but it'll be a while.

I haven't been that way in a while. Usually only go to VA for Busch Gardens every once in a while. Easy 3 hour drive for me.

Hey man, I'm 3 exits north of you on I-95 in Prince William County. Other than traffic being a pain, it is not a bad place to live. Shoot me a PM if you need anything.

Taxes in VA are null and void, especially if you are in the service. 20 years as a resident in the state of Nevada, 14 of that spent here in VA. Not a dime in property taxes. Retired in July and then I get hit. Taxes do suck, but not if actively serving our country.

Well I made it here. As a side note, I do not recommend driving to/from South Texas from/to Potomac Virginia in two days. Especially when its raining so hard that you have to use 4wd on the highway while traversing the mountains at 40 MPH.
