Why is it not under warranty? Ask to see the VIP report and reasoning why it isn't. My truck is a 10 with 60k miles and it is still under warranty for power train.

Well I just did mine a few weeks ago. It was a pain in the butt, it is time consuming. Things needed new gasket in my case it took two days to order it just FYI. Right angle drill is key to this operation. Remove tire and inner fender wall. Most of the time the bolt breaks at the head so nothing to grab onto. Remove exhaust manifold then you will see how many bolts are broken (my case 2 broken) Just center punch the bolt, then start with a very small drill bit then work you way up in size, once hole is big enough use an easy out and slowly try to remove the bolt. Also lots of penetrating oil. Take your time Hope that helps.

My 2010 has 78k miles and I'm not the original owner. I just had it repaired at the dealer and it was completely covered under the 5 year 100k mile powertrain warranty. They had to drill and tap the broken bolts and replaced the gasket.

I don't know if this is related, but..................Most mornings when I start my truck, the exhaust shakes something fierce. Does this have anything to do with the exhaust bolts? I've had my head under the hood and do not hear any ticking that's been mentioned.

I just turned 94k miles. Should I just take it in and say I hear it so that they look at it?

If this is so common, think there will be a recall?
