Default New gun

Traded in my Springfield XDm .45 today for a Glock 21. Shot it right away. I think it weighs close to 25% less then the XD. I also had them order me a S&W 500 with the interchangeable compensator. That weighs a lot more.

The problem in Canada isn't the owning of them if your licensed, it's taking them out to shoot them. You can only transport them from your home to an approved shooting range by the most direct route. Of course if you buy one you have to get authorization to transport it from the point of purchase to your home.

I have owned Glock and an XD, I could not stand the Glock, even though they are probably the most reliable gun you can buy, I think I only had it for about a month and traded it in. I have personally moved on to 1911's, I love the accuracy and craftsmanship.

When I first was looking for a handgun about 4 years ago I picked up a Glock and it didn't fit my hand right. I went with a 45 XD. Then I traded that in for a 45 XDm. Was at the local gun shop I frequent and fell in love with the weight and grip of the 21 Gen 4. Sooo much lighter then an XD. The guy who sold it to me guarantees 10,000 rounds without a jam. He has 8 in his personal collection.

The Kimber does have amazing craftsmanship. A few others also. A little spendy.

Very spendy, but once I shot one, I had to have one. Now I have two...An AR is my next purchase, then I will find a shotgun somewhere down the road and I will be done. My wife says I found the two most expensive hobbies, cars and guns. I just tell her its better than booze and drugs!

noooo! say it ain't so, lost another to the block!

just giving you crap man.

While not a fan of them myself - (more of an all steel pistol and wheelgun guy)they certainly have quite the following and shoot right with any of them. for carry - weight is everything.

I blame the fact that the first pistol I picked up was a 1911... kinda ruined me for most of everything else lol. But I did pick up the XDm 5.25 in 9mm awhile back. it's taken me awhile to get used to the way it looks, bit it shoots like a house afire!

I've steered away from kimbers mostly becuase I haven't been able to shoot one personally - and the crowd is either kimber is the best or kimber is the worst. doesn''t seem to be much gray with people on that one. About the only thing that starts a bigger online pissing contest is asking whether a 9 is better than a 45....

however, I got to shoot a crimson carry II last night. It's now on my short list. The trigger needed some smoothing - but dang did it ever shoot a tight group.
