Default Light bulb life

This past week I had the first bulb burn out on my 09. It was the rear pass turn signal (nice the evic tells you) it got me to thinking. 5 years and 120,000km is a pretty long stretch before my first bulb burn out. Another thing to add is its pretty easy to get to.

How long have others gone before the first bulb out? (I've owned this truck since new).

I haven't even had my truck a year, but my dad has yet to have a bulb to go out on his 2009 Ram 1500. He is at a bit over 60,000 miles. He bought it in June 2009, and it had been built in January.

So you are that guy I always see with his turn signals on all the time?

On your 09's does you third brake light; light up? Mine does not but the when the doors are open the cargo lights light up. I have seen other 09's where the light dose not light up but the 11's+ there third brake light; lights up! So I'm thinking that my third brake light is out.

I have only needed to replace my driver side rear brake/turn bulb because I guess it burnt out before and the previous owner put an ember turn bulb from the front in it. I have converted my headlights to hids, my turns/running lights to to switchback leds, my cargo, reverse, dome light and plate lights to white leds. None of them needed to be replace, I just really like leds

My uncle has never had to replace a turn signal bulb. He only uses the turn when needed (actual vehicle right behind him in the other lane or to merge into the turning lane when busy). It is a family joke about him and his turning signals.

Mine is a '13 that I picked up in August and the EVIC is saying the right rear brake light is out (it's not) but it is actually the third brake light that is not working.

i have an 07 libby that has never needed a bulb, an 04 grand cherokee that has had all bulbs replaced at least once some twice. i had to replace a fog light, in my 04 ram. i believe there is no way to predict life spans of bulbs.

Typically I will replace my headlights every 2 years, I do a lot of night driving and find they dim over time. The rest of my lights are still new from factory 4 years now and never shown any signs of blowing.
