Default Shocks for future lift

I own a 2007 dodge ram 1500 sport crew cab.. I need to replace my shocks but down the road i want to lift my truck a couple in's nothing huge.. So what would be a good way to go on getting shocks.. I was thinking of the Pro Comp2 Front Pro Runner Adjustable Shocks and 2 Rear Pro Runner Monotube Shocks.. Thoughts and opinions..

Even though I'm a newcomer here I have at least a little experience in this arena. My personal preference is Bilstein 4600 series, good price and quality. I had those on my last truck and they were great. In my experience if you're only doing a 1-2" suspension lift stock shocks will be fine. After that you need a shock designed for a lift like the 5100 series, they've expanded their lineup since the last time I bought shocks and they've got shocks for almost any type of driving you'll do in your truck.

Looks like the 5100 only goes up to a 2" in front and 1" in back for the 07, unless I put something in wrong. I would check on Ranchos, they tend to have a very large selection since Monroe makes them. I don't know much about the Pro Comp line personally.

If you go with a 6" lift later on you might as well buy some Bilstein 5100 adjustable front struts right now. Then you can use them to level the truck now if you want to and then later on set them lower to level out the lift. As far as back shocks go you'll be changing them when you lift anyway. You aren't going to run the same shock at stock height as you would with a 6" lift.
