Default dashboard fix solved

So my biggest eye sore in my truck is my dashboard, most of the 3rd gen dashboards cracked, (still think they should be recalled and replaced) anyways its $700 for the main portion and another $200 for the upper part. most people don't want to pay that much for a piece of plastic, but I have found a way, PLASTI DIP, I will post some pics some time next week after seeing how well this holds up, but what I did was

Removed the dash

Taped the inside of the dash

glued the outside of the dash with super glue and let it sit

removed the tape on the inside and super glued it

then plasti diped the top part only, (I was worried that it wouldn't fit if I did the bottom part.)

I used the spray and it only took a little over one can..... I put on 4 coats.

another option if that doesn't work is the dash cover...

http://www.genosgarage.com/DODGE-RAM.../#.U03nflVdV0o

Putting it on was super easy....

is what I got works great...didnt get the lower, I bought some gutter guard black metal mesh type from home depot, cut it up to cover the holes, gorrilla glued it on the broken dash, mine was in jigsaw pieces, then put the top on and it looks great...

I thought about using aluminum screen material that they use for window screens, but wasn't sure if a could get it taunt over the holes with my dash in such shape, but after thought about making miniture screens out of it, the metal frame would of kept it taunt....... just an idea.

How about some pics of the plasti-dipped dash? I am considering the same. Thanks!

Would love to see some pics of these dash fixes, be it replacing, plasti-dipping or covering!
Need some visuals on these ideas.
