Default JC Whitney for seatcovers - trustworthy???

I am considering purchasing a set of Covercraft manufactured, Carhartt branded, seat covers for the front buckets of my 2014 Big Horn 1500.

Authorized retailer JC Whitney is about $10 cheaper then buying direct from Covercraft and Whitney offers free shipping; unlike Covercraft.

Either way, direct or from a retailer, I will have to wait till mid-June for them to be manufactured. (I think JC Whitney must actually have them dropped shipped from the factory.)

I have never dealt with JC Whitney before -- does anyone have an opinion of them?
Or can anyone recommend alternate vendors to consider?

... Thanks

I've purchased a few small items from JCWhitney over the years - never had a problem.

It must be a mid-Atlantic thing, everyone I knew that started mail-ordering auto parts in the mid 90s used Whitney. It was kind of the Crutchfield/Eastbay of auto parts.

Used to order all kinds of parts for my old Firebird from them and never a problem and almost always a LOT cheaper than local parts stores. And usually could get free shipping.

Thanks very much for your input folks!

After reading the replies I went ahead and placed the order.
JC Whitney had the option of using Amazon.com payments for checkout -- that was cool.

So I guess some time in June I will be wrapping my seats in gravel colored Carhartt duck-weave.

I am hoping these new covers will be as good the Mopar accessory seat covers I bought from the parts counter of the local dealership after purchasing my old 2003 1500. They where a great product, custom fit, tough fabric, with the Ram emblem embroidered on the headrest cover.

Those covers lasted 10-years before the drivers side started to wear through at one spot on the edge of the seat where you mount the truck -- I could have swapped it for the passenger cover and got another decade!

I am kind of surprised Mopar parts no longer offers seat covers.

...Thanks again guys

No, I do not mind at all!

Here is a link to the manufacture's product page.
http://www.covercraft.com/carhartt/

I went with the gravel color to most closely match the original fabric. I am at this point just doing the front buckets. Perhaps later I will do the back 60/40 but it is usually folded up to use the cargo deck anyway. And besides that $185 for the two front seats is already a bite in the wallet.

Hope that helps.

No, they are accounted for. If you go through the selection process for your vehicle, when you get to the page where you graphically select your front seat configuration you can note the description includes, "with seat airbags."

If they are like mine then they will not. If you click on my seat cover review in my sig, you can see that on the sides of the front seat covers there are flaps that the airbag will easily kick out when it deploys. Although my covers were made by Coverking, I imagine the ones that the OP is getting will have a similar design. Even if the flaps aren't there though, I doubt a seat cover could contain an airbag.
