I don't think I can wait that long. I have a use case coming up next week where I need to use the truck. The fact that it has sat there for a week with nothing being done while waiting for someone to show up but nobody knows when, just burns me up.
The tech at the dealer said that if the engineer doesn't materialize today, he'll start working on it again on his own. I forwarded information I found on another forum (from about a year ago) that talks about performing a pin test on all the appropriate connectors; I'm sure that hasn't yet been done, and quite frankly that would have been the first
thing I would have checked for an intermittent problem such as this. They are loathe to throw any more parts at it, and I agree with them 100%. I'm convinced that it's a wiring issue since there are no other malfunctions in any other systems whatsoever. Except for this one thing, the truck performs flawlessly.
I gave them a week before I need the truck back. If they aren't able to pull the harnesses, check the pin fit, clean & grease the contacts in that time I'll just do it myself. If that resolves it, great, otherwise call me when the engineer shows up and I'll bring it back in.
