Default What's the best cold air intake for the Hemi.

Anybody know which cold air intake gives the most HP for the 5.7 liter Ram?

did my exhaust, just need to breath better up front.

I have the Vararam and absolutely love it. If it don't perform as advertised just send it back for a refund and looks awesome. My air intake temps before the Vararam usually ran anywhere from 15 to 25 degrees above ambient, with the Vararam the most its every ran was 8 degrees above ambient, usually stays about 5 degreees above ambient.

Have you seen any noticeable MPG increase using the Vararam? I'm curious...

I did cat back and vararam at the same time, so not exactly apples to apples, but I picked up about 1.9 mpg better on my average, combined.

Also have a very heavy foot, so I was speeding more than before so I could make use of the new growl.

I loved my diy stock airbox cai mod! Best $7 I ever spent! Why in the world anyone would spend $300 when a dremel and some hose will perform just the same is beyond me....

(I will say I tend to believe the vararam might out perform my diy job but hey I still have all that cash in my pocket)

I also gained a little over a mile per gallon but can't keep my foot out of it. If you want a "true" cold air intake try to find people who have a way to monitor the Inlet Air Temp. sensor and the type of intake they have and base your purchase from that info.

Vararam is claiming 30HP and 30+ FT/lbs. of torque with this intake with no tuning. Is that realistic for a CAI?
