Wow, slight bit of Ram fanboi there?? Engineering releases regarding the truck, not marketing information, claim a loss of 713 lbs trimmed off the Crew Cab trucks through the high strength steel frame, aluminum, and weight trimming of almost all systems within the truck. None of the weight savings apparently were gained in a new 4wheel system as it is carried over from last generations system. But hey reading any actual information from anybody other than Ram seems to be difficult for a lot of posters on here.

LOL!!! Engineering releases. Nice try! LOL! Engineering releases??? For real?

They can claim that in lab rat engineering data when subtracting just from body and frame alone...it might even be true....BUT NONE of that translates into real world numbers on trucks that are fully built up. That WHY Ford claims UP TO 700 lbs. They WILL NOT reach that mark for the high end trim levels. They will be slightly better on mid level trims. I'm not saying the new Fords wont be lighter, sure they will but when you start throwing all the bells and whistles, sunroofs, cameras, sensors, etc, etc, etc on a fully built truck, they are gonna add up and start eating into that weight savings from the frame and body. So yeah its still just marketing BS.
We'll find out soon enough when they are put on the scales and compared to the 2014 equivalents. You know every truck magazine will be throwing them on scales as soon as they get their hands on them.
Not hard to read technical data but Using common sense must be difficult for you.
