Default Is the R/T a rare breed?

There doesn't seem to be too many R/Ts on the road. Anyone have production numbers?

Pretty sure it's less than a 1000 a year.

There have been previous posts with some research to show that there have only been about 800 produced for model years 12 and 13. Love my white 2014 with the Ramboxes!

Up until the time I bought my R/T, I didn't even know such a beast existed, being a Ford and GM owner all my life. Glad I made the switch!

Same here. Ford man all of my life but they dont make a regular cab in a trim above XLT anymore. I looked at the Tremor and wanted to go that way but they wanted $42,000 for the 2wd version and had an additional $2500 limited availability markup and wouldnt budge on the price. Im also not a fan of the complexity of trin turbo power and the only V8 is the 5.0. In the end I opted for the R/T and pretty glad I did. The electronics package is way ahead of what Ford has, the eight speed/Hemi/3.92 combo is the best that I have ever driven. Love the Rambox option. The final price on a vehicle with an MSRP of $39,4xx came to be $31, 800 OTD saving at least $10,000 over the Ford. I do think the seats on my Ford were a bit more comfortable and I miss the 36 galon gas tank but other than that I'm very happy with the Ram.

When I decided I wanted a White RT, there was one in Georgia that I could find. A few black ones, but I've had Black and that ain't happening again. I'm too picky and keeping the damn thing clean and shiny was part-time job.

I like low production numbers. That means I won't meet myself on the road every day.

I love white and that would have been my first choice in color if the dealer had one. Of course the Granite Crystal (or whatever it is) is getting a lot of compliments.

I also looked at the Tremor and just like you mentioned, they wanted too much for what you got. Also, read to much negative press on the EcoBoost. I did drive one though and I guess it was nice, if only it didn't cost so much.

When I drove the R/T, there were only two at my dealer, one gray and one black and since I currently own a black car, I don't want another one, never...ever again.

The power that the Hemi makes I guess is what ultimately sold me. I was very impressed with the acceleration when I first test drove. Of course, I'm getting use to it now so it doesn't seem near as fast as it did at first.

Like Trailsman said, it's good not to see yourself on the road every day!
